Greetings families, friends, alumnus, staff, and supporters of Calvary Christian Academy. Our 8th Annual "Race4Education" has taken place and our students have exerted all of their energy walking and running around the Dover Skating Center to raise funds for their school. To see the impact and understand where the funds will be going, please read below!
Mission Statement
Calvary Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an educational program founded upon Biblical Truth, Academic Excellence, and the spiritual formation of the individual student in a safe and secure environment.
Partnering with CCA will provide us the opportunity to fast track our continual improvement and will make you part of a historical institution that will positively impact the world around us
For example, Melissa Earley (CCA 2009), graduated Valedictorian of her class and earned a full scholarship at Wesley College. She immediately noticed her peers struggled to master math concepts she encountered in her Junior year at CCA. Melissa worked with the Science and Math department to develop methods to improve math performance in Chemistry. Wesley College adopted Melissa's proposal and now Melissa will be traveling to Canada in April 2011 to present her findings to Educators. She maintains a 4.0 GPA in her major, works part time at Chick Fil A, remains involved in small group ministry, and fosters her personal relationship with Christ as an active member of her church.
This is just one of many success stories we are able to spotlight this year. We have graduates working in ministry, international missions, and leading the way in their desired profession. Ninety-five percent of CCA graduates are accepted into Colleges and Universities such as Penn State, Biola University in California, University of Delaware, Southeastern Bible College, Valley Forge Christian College, Liberty University, Cedarville University, Wilmington University, Delaware Technical Community College, and Delaware State University.
Funds for growth
Calvary Christian Academy has been positioning itself to apply for School Accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Securing accreditation will demonstrate CCA's commitment to continual improvement and it will testify to CCA's quality of education. It will also significantly improve our marketability and sustainable growth. Funds raised by the Race 4 Education will support initiatives to help us secure accreditation and therefore our future. Thank you for your prayer and financial support.
