We are not your ordinary
Christian School
As a school that helps children apply Biblical principles to their daily lives, CCA is an option for families looking for an alternative to public school education. We believe if God does not show favoritism as Romans 2:11 states, then He respects every one of any race, color, language or gender. This is evident in our student body and staff. We see each child as an individual, as our Heavenly Father sees us. Our goal is to partner with parents to help shape the overall child.
Students in our school take part in a challenging core of basic courses, and depending on the grade, may also take Art, Music, Band, Physical Education and Health. All classrooms have internet and cable in the classroom to keep the students in touch with technology. We currently have students take the SAT's instead of the DSTP which eliminates much stress in the students as well as the parents.
Bible is required daily in every grade, and all students have a weekly chapel. We teach in a traditional classroom, and all teachers are fully prepared both professionally and spiritually for an academic ministry with children. Curriculum materials are chosen primarily from ABEKA for its Christian background and strong emphasis on good reading skills. Kindergarten students are taught basics such as sounds, numbers, letters, colors etc. This helps enable the child to develop social and motor skills. Because of the strong emphasis on phonics, most kindergarten students begin to read on their own.
We are, of course, a Christian school. Our sponsoring church, Calvary Assembly of God, is a Bible believing, evangelical church. As a school we strive to concentrate on those things upon which all evangelical Christians can agree and expect all students to follow Christian standards of behavior in the school.
